Childcare Funding at Little Adventures Nursery
At Little Adventures Nursery, we’re committed to making high-quality early education accessible and affordable for every family. With recent government expansions in childcare support, more families than ever can benefit from funded hours. Here’s how we can help you navigate the options available.
Government-Funded Childcare: What’s Available?
15 Hours Free Childcare (Universal Offer for 3- and 4-Year-Olds)
All families in England are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare per week for children aged 3 and 4, starting from the term after their third birthday. This universal offer is available regardless of income or employment status.
30 Hours Free Childcare (For Eligible Working Families)
Working parents may be eligible for 30 hours of free childcare per week for children aged 3 and 4. To qualify:
- Both parents (or the sole parent in a single-parent household) must be working.
- Each parent must earn at least £183 per week (equivalent to 16 hours at the National Minimum Wage) and less than £100,000 per year.
15 Hours Free Childcare for 2-Year-Olds
Some 2-year-olds are eligible for 15 hours of free childcare per week if their family receives certain benefits or meets specific criteria. This support aims to provide early education opportunities to children who will benefit most.
30 Hours Free Childcare for Children Aged 9 Months to 2 Years (Starting September 2025)
From September 2025, eligible working parents will be able to access 30 hours of free childcare per week for children aged 9 months to 2 years. This expansion means that families can receive consistent support from the end of maternity leave until their child starts school.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the extended 30 hours offer:
- You must be working (employed or self-employed).
- Each parent must earn at least £183 per week and less than £100,000 per year.
- The offer applies from the term after your child turns the relevant age (9 months, 2 years, or 3 years).
