Free Childcare Places

We offer 30 hours free, fully funded childcare in Washwood Heath from 9 months, flexible term-time places and engaging holiday clubs designed to support families all year round. There are no hidden charges and we include meals for free if you are able to claim the free hours. Funding eligibility is based on individual circumstances and you can check your eligibility using the Governments Best Start in Life Eligibility Checker.

Children can also start with us before turning 9 months free of charge, provided families can show they are eligible for government funding from the age of 9 months.

Little Explorers – 2 – 3 years – A stimulating and engaging environment where children are encouraged to build independence, confidence and a love of learning through hands-on, Montessori-inspired experiences. Our bright, carefully structured space supports growing curiosity through early numeracy, problem-solving, imaginative play and creative exploration, helping children develop essential skills while learning at their own pace in a calm and nurturing setting.

Big Adventurers – 3 to 5 years – Our preschool room focuses on school readiness and follows the Early Years Foundation Stage as part of our curriculum to prepare children confidently for their next stage of learning through language-rich experiences, early literacy and numeracy activities, practical life skills and hands-on exploration. Designed to inspire independence, resilience and curiosity, our engaging preschool environment encourages children to learn through imaginative play, outdoor adventures and confidence-building challenges.

Outdoor Exploration

Our Washwood Heath garden offers a beautiful natural space where children can run, climb and balance, dig and plant, explore textures through outdoor sensory play, build independence and physical confidence, and enjoy storytelling, music and imaginative play in the fresh air. Outdoor time forms an essential part of our daily rhythm, giving children the freedom to move, explore and connect with nature.
