Meet the WSM Team

Clare Little (Head of Education)

Hi my name is Clare and have recently joined the Little Adventures nurseries as Head of Education.

I qualified as an early years educator in 2002. I was lucky enough to get a job in a nursery as soon as I qualified and worked across all ages and, over the years, progressed to a senior role where I helped to support a team of 34 staff and over 200 families. I also took on the role as health and safety coordinator which gave me the opportunity to widen my knowledge in risk assessing and training. In 2012 I took on the role as Manager which is a job I loved, not only supporting families but also having to use my experience to lead a team which went onto achieve an outstanding OFSTED in 2016. I have 2 children and in our free time we love to explore our local national trust houses and get creative (the messier the better!) the are always giving me ideas to use in the nurseries.

Jay Sparkle (Nursery Development Manager)

Hi I’m Jay. I joined Little Adventures Nurseries in November 2021 as Nursery Development Manager.

I have been working in the Early Years sector since 2009. In this time, I have held various positions from Nursery Nurse to Area Manager overseeing 4 nurseries in the Southwest. My most recent job was as a manager of a 129-place nursery. I feel extremely fortunate to work in Early Years as I know how important these years are for children. I completed my BA (Hons) in Early Years Education in 2017 and this has helped me further my own knowledge of how children learn and develop. I have a passion for ensuring that the teams are trained to a high standard to deliver the best quality care. I have a son of my own so understand how important it is to ensure that you choose the right setting for your children. In my free time I like nothing more than exploring with my little family and we absolutely love baking together, especially the tasting part.

Lizzie Stevens (Baby Room Manager)

Hello, I’m Lizzie and I’m a level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner with 6 years under my belt. In that time my experience ranges from a childminder, up to managing a nursery.

I love being able to witness each child grow into their own individual person and being part of that is incredible. There is never a dull moment when working in childcare and it’s a job you couldn’t not enjoy.

In my spare time, I am studying to become a midwife which is really exciting. I also love to walk my dogs in the woods or on the local beach, watching Disney films and supporting the Bristol Bears rugby team.

Charlie Theyer (Early Years Educator)

Hello my name is Charlie, I have always been interested in working within an early years setting as I think it’s so rewarding helping young children develop and flourish into their own person and character. Growing up around younger family members has shown me that all children are different and I think that makes working within early years even better as no two days will be the same.
