Meet the Taunton Team

Clare Little (Head of Education)

Hi my name is Clare and have recently joined the Little Adventures nurseries as Head of Education.

I qualified as an early years educator in 2002. I was lucky enough to get a job in a nursery as soon as I qualified and worked across all ages and, over the years, progressed to a senior role where I helped to support a team of 34 staff and over 200 families. I also took on the role as health and safety coordinator which gave me the opportunity to widen my knowledge in risk assessing and training. In 2012 I took on the role as Manager which is a job I loved, not only supporting families but also having to use my experience to lead a team which went onto achieve an outstanding OFSTED in 2016. I have 2 children and in our free time we love to explore our local national trust houses and get creative (the messier the better!) the are always giving me ideas to use in the nurseries.

Jay Sparkle (Nursery Development Manager)

Hi I’m Jay. I joined Little Adventures Nurseries in November 2021 as Nursery Development Manager.

I have been working in the Early Years sector since 2009. In this time, I have held various positions from Nursery Nurse to Area Manager overseeing 4 nurseries in the Southwest. My most recent job was as a manager of a 129-place nursery. I feel extremely fortunate to work in Early Years as I know how important these years are for children. I completed my BA (Hons) in Early Years Education in 2017 and this has helped me further my own knowledge of how children learn and develop. I have a passion for ensuring that the teams are trained to a high standard to deliver the best quality care. I have a son of my own so understand how important it is to ensure that you choose the right setting for your children. In my free time I like nothing more than exploring with my little family and we absolutely love baking together, especially the tasting part.

 Samantha Hall (Nursery Manager)

I feel extremely fortunate to have been working in a profession that I love for the last 7 years. I currently hold a level 5 Foundation Degree in Early Years and love to learn new things. I have progressed through the ranks, starting my career as a nursery practitioner and now more recently being part of management. I bring an innate passion to provide a nurturing environment to support the achievement of positive outcomes for children through play.

In my spare time, I love exploring both cities and the countryside in the hopes of finding new places to enjoy with family and friends. There’s nothing better than sitting in a quite, little cafe, tucked away somewhere with great food and company!

Daniel Hall (Room Manager)

I've worked in childcare for over eight years. I'm very passionate about supporting children's development, and I feel so fortunate to play a part in building the foundations for their future. I have worked through many roles, starting as an apprentice and now in management. I love seeing both staff and children reach their fullest potential. In my spare time, I love reading, particularly fiction. I am also very interested in technology, and I love finding out how things work.

Katie Burgess (Early Years Educator)

My name is Katie. I have worked in early years for a number of years now, where I have worked with all ages groups ranging from babies right up to 11 year olds. I am passionate about seeing the children grow and develop. I feel so proud of them when they achieve their own personal goals. I am keen to learn new things and continuously work on my own personal development which in order will help support the children with theirs.

In my spare time, I love being with my Guineapigs who are called Ant and Dec. I also enjoy exploring new places and especially going to the Theatre. I also cycles lots and currently go to an all ladies gym.
