Little Adventures Nursery in Cheddar celebrates success after being rated Ofsted ‘good’

Cheddar nursery awarded 'good' rating by Ofsted

A nursery in Cheddar, Somerset has recently been awarded a ‘good’ rating by Ofsted, following an inspection in November. Little Adventures Nursery, launched in October 2020, is on the same site as the multi-award winning Ocean Adventurers indoor play site.

Children attending the nursery also get to enjoy one of the largest indoor play sites in the South West.

Commenting in the report, inspector Elaine Douglas praised the ‘highly qualified management team’ that enable children to ‘have good relationships with each other and the staff’.

Overall, the inspector concludes that ‘children are confident, happy and secure’ and that ‘parents confirm how much their children love attending the nursery’.

Reflecting on the report, director Tom Filer said: ‘this inspection result is an incredible achievement for a first inspection and places the nursery firmly at the top end of the ‘good’ rating. I could not be prouder of the team and what they have managed to achieve in just over 12 months.’

The Little Adventures team are not stopping there, however. They are pushing to get ready for the next inspection and have their sights firmly set on an Ofsted outstanding rating.
